I took my dad and brother out to supper tonight and as we parted to go to our homes, I should have turned west. I turned east instead and drove for about an hour on county roads, some not much wider than the car itself. I grew up in the area but it had been years since I took the long way home. Driving, especially at sunset and sunrise, is the best medicine sometimes. Maybe that's true of sunsets and sunrises in general.

Finally got my business cards ordered. I was waffling for the longest time because I couldn't decide if I was doing business under my own name or my business name (I opted for my name to keep it simple for now).

I actually have more reverence for the subject heading than I've demonstrated but I feel such seriousness over starting a blog about writing that I want to keep things light for a bit. More on that stuff later.

Although I've been on Live Journal for years and more recently, Facebook, I wanted to have a blog dedicated to writing, the art (and work) of writing, and of my experiences. That will be the purpose of this blog for now.

My next post will tell a little bit of who I am, what I have done, what I am doing and what I hope to do.

Until then, thanks for reading!
